A truly comprehensive reading curriculum for K–2 students provides everything necessary to launch our youngest learners as fluent, confident, and thoughtful readers. Systematic, explicit foundational skills instruction must be joined with rigorous comprehension work. The Being a Reader program—now in a newly published second edition—is a comprehensive K–2 curriculum that reaches all readers.
